Please read these terms before you book a seva. In short: give correct details for the sankalpa, contributions are non-refundable, and Indian law applies.

About these terms

vaidicpujas.org is run by Vaidic Dharma Sansthan ("VDS", "we", "us"), a charitable trust at 21 Km Kanakapura Road, Udayapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560082.

These terms apply when you use the site, or book or contribute to a puja, homa, samskara, course or other programme (a "seva"). When you tick "I agree" on a booking form, or use the site, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Using the site

You must be 18 or older to book, or book with the agreement of a parent or guardian. You may book for family members and others with their agreement.

You agree not to:

• use the site for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or mislead anyone;
• give false details, or book in another person's name without their agreement;
• copy, scrape or resell the site's content or sevas without our written permission;
• upload malicious code, or try to get around the site's security.

We may suspend access or refuse a booking if these terms are broken.

Bookings and the sankalpa

A puja is performed in the devotee's name. On the booking form, give each person's correct name, date of birth, gotra, rashi and nakshatra. Date of birth is required for each person; the Privacy Policyexplains why and how it is used. If you do not know the gotra, rashi or nakshatra, tick "I don't know": the priest then uses Shubha Gotra, Shubha Rashi and Shubha Nakshatra, which is the traditional practice.

Pujas are performed by our priests in the VDS Vaidic paddhati. For a remote sankalpa, the priest takes the sankalpa in your name and you take part from wherever you are. Where we offer it, you can watch online.

A booking is confirmed when the payment succeeds and you receive a receipt by SMS, WhatsApp or email. Please check the details on the receipt and tell us at once if anything is wrong.

Contributions, receipts and tax

Each seva has a fixed contribution, shown before you pay. Some donations let you choose the amount. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not see or store your card, UPI or bank login details.

Every person booked gets their own receipt. Indian tax law requires your PAN on the receipt for a single offering of ₹10,000 or more, so the form asks for it then. A tax benefit on a contribution depends on the receipt and on the tax law that applies to you.

We may change contribution amounts for future bookings. A change never affects a booking already paid.

No refunds

All contributions to Vaidic Dharma Sansthan are non-refundable. A contribution is an offering to a religious and charitable trust, not a purchase.

We refund only when a payment went wrong, for example a double charge. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the cases and how a refund is paid.

Changes of date, venue or seva

Pujas follow the Vedic calendar and depend on priests, venues and local conditions. We may change the date, time or venue of a seva, or combine sevas, when we need to. We will tell you by SMS, WhatsApp or email. If a seva you booked cannot be held, we will perform your sankalpa at the next suitable puja and tell you.

The spiritual nature of the sevas

Pujas and homas are acts of worship and offering. We perform them with care and in the traditional way, but we do not promise any particular result, and they do not replace medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

Panchang, Rashi calculator and other information

The panchang, muhurta, rashi and nakshatra tools and other information on the site are given in good faith for guidance. A rashi or nakshatra found from an approximate time of birth can be wrong.

Your account

You can sign in with a one-time password sent to your mobile, or with Google. Keep access to your phone and email safe; you are responsible for bookings made from your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

Our content and your submissions

The text, images, recordings and design of the site belong to VDS or are used with permission. You may share links and use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes.

If you send us feedback, photos or other material, you allow us to use it for VDS's work, with credit where appropriate. Do not send material that is unlawful or that belongs to someone else.

Other websites and services

The site links to, and uses, services run by others: for example Razorpay for payments, WhatsApp, YouTube and Google. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content or service.

Limits of our liability

We work to keep the site available and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors.

As far as the law allows, VDS, its trustees, staff and volunteers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of the site or a seva. In any case our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the seva concerned. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be limited.

If you break these terms or the law, and a claim is made against VDS because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable cost to VDS.

We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receiving it. Please give your name, mobile number or email, the receipt number if there is one, and what went wrong.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction. If a part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date. The terms in force when you made a booking apply to that booking.
